Transportation

Flitter

A two-man flyer. It is a lot like a motorcycle, except it also has elevation controls. Open to the air, it is used more for recreation than anything else. Powered by a small Clarisse, it uses grav lift pads in place of wheels. Grav thrusters provide forward, braking, and reverse thrust.

Flyer

These air vehicles come in various sizes and models. Generally, they are like our automobiles, except they are powered by a standard small Clarisse. They use grav lift pads in place of wheels and grav thrusters on all four sides for stability, acceleration, deceleration, and movement. Sizes range from small two- and three- person compacts with little or no cargo space to multi-passenger vehicles having limited cargo space. These are the vehicle of choice for personal transportation on the ADF Eclipse and come in both open and enclosed models.

Air taxis separate the passenger and driver compartments and have additional cargo space.

Floater

Floaters are the cargo equivalent to flyers, having room to shuttle cargo or passengers. The driver's compartment is separate from the passenger/cargo area. Open or Enclosed models. Up to twenty passengers, used largely for group transportation. Seating can be moved and rearranged or recessed for more cargo area. Limited grav comps.

Sled

These are general purpose craft with a lot of lifting power for heavy loads of cargo. They are open and have tie-downs. Seats are recessed into the deck as are the controls, so they can be part of the "deck" of a supply shuttle or floater. Any vehicle configured for one or more sleds have recessed openings in their decks for storage. This allows a sled to become part of a deck on a larger vessel.

Airlimo

Also called a limrider, these are larger and more luxurious versions of Air Taxis, providing amenities, such as beverages, to its passengers.

Shuttle

Like flyers, shuttles come in various sizes, including survey and planetary landers having multiple floors and even sleeping accommodations, down to cargo shuttles. All are enclosed and have full grav comps.

Supply shuttle

These are equipped with Star Drive and two or three drive nacelles. They have one to three hulls and full stealth, along with phased laser weapons. The globe is about 100 meters in diameter and has little in the way of seating.

Planetary Lander Shuttle (Assault)

These are designed to carry attack troops to a planet's surface and are basically cylinders that can split open to discharge its forces. No weapons.

Planetary Lander (General and Survey)

These are similar to supply shuttles and size and shape, have multiple floors (decks) and limited sleeping accommodations. The cargo bay is accessed through a landing deck and can be equipped with tubes for in-space loading and unloading.

Captain's Yacht

These are a luxury version of a general planetary lander.

Armed Carriers

An armed variant of the shuttle. These are generally smaller and designed to carry prisoners within a system or from one ship to another if they are in close proximity. The weapons are limited to phased lasers at each end of the shuttle and the controls in the command room are isolated and link via hand ident to the molecular level.

Jumpship

Typically, a Cxillee vessel with no stardrive. It is a globe with no protubences and uses grav thrusters and a Cxillee warp drive to move through space.
