Jules Ann "Julie" Stollack

Heritage: Drac
Father: Bazel Stollack
Mother: Agnes Stollack

Notes

The entire Star Spawn saga is a "coming of age" story about Julie. It starts with her first warship captaincy aboard the ADF Waken.

Drac, ADF Captain. 5’10” 135 lbs., born Drac of Bazel Stollack, who was born Drac of William Franklin Stollack. This brunette of stunning beauty. Her true green eyes contrast the inner beauty of her strong face. In their own way, her eyes could capture a man’s soul. Fetching, seductive, bedroom eyes, some called them. Her creamy complexion needs no makeup and she wears none.

Actually, her hair is a mix between dishwater blond and light brunette (brown)

She prefers to be called "Julie" by friends and associates in a non-official capacity. However, Shauna Campbell does not like her nickname and calls her by her first name, Jules.

Novels

The Waken Incident

Captain, ADF Waken

Julie is one of the few people to benefit from the write down for the first novel. The story is now centered on her as the captain of the warship, the ADF Waken.

The full write also benefited from what is being done with the write down, in that additional material was written, providing more than a footnote to a number of incidents on the ADF Waken.

The Stormy Island Incident

Captain, ADF Stormy Island

Julie is one mixed up and depressed kid in this dark novel. She is bitter, does not feel complete, and is a wayward soul at this point in her life. The whole of the incident is the lowest part of her life and marks the end of her mortal life. She feels the universe is out to "get" her and even the ship, the ADF Stormy Island, seems to mock her very existence with its nine star drive naccelles.

Rebirth: Matthews

Captain, ADF Eclipse

Before she can assume command of a new First Captaincy (an honor in and of itself) over the most powerful ship ever built by any race in the Alliance, a rejuvinated (I hesitate to use the term "reborn") Julie must go after James Matthews who has either been nabbed or escaped the prison ship bound from Puck Four to Ragnoruk. Along the way, Julie runs into [Dejarda] ([Annie]), who was captured as she came out of The Pits and sold into slavery. Her rescue from Zondervich's marks the beginning of Julie's recognition that she is now somehow different from the Drac race into which she was born. No longer having the slightly pointed ears of a Drac, her system tends to do things to medical scanners (mediscannes). She bests a female Zurth in a challenge and goes for a romp with Hector, a Zurth security officer. In the end, she gets her man, but he, almost immediately recognizes what she is or has become - a Star Spawn. In the meantime, meet Admiral James Matthews of Allied Security and Defense!

Rebirth: Eclipse

Captain, ADF Eclipse

Regardless of the changes to her body, Julie retains her personality and Drac thinking. Very few people understand what has happened, except maybe James Matthews and Kathleen Howard, who is at a loss to explain the transformation she witnessed under the hands of the Eternals on Stormy Island.

Julie is a Stollack, through and through, and challenges the right to the Coceedn, culminating in a vain attempt on the part of the Coceedn and their daunting codat to stop and assume command of the dreadnaught ADF Eclipse. True to the military tradition of the Alliance, the tacticians take the big ship to war against the Coceedn and, without firing a shot, destroy all but six ships of the armada, using the massive [Star Drive].
