Julie's Powers

This is worth mentioning. In the story, Matt explains that Julie is a young Star Spawn and is learning as she goes. Her powers did not come with an instruction manual. When Carter asked if her experimenting was dangerous, Matt replied that he thought so when she pulled some of her stunts.

In a sequence that was written a couple of times, but never will appear in any story, Stollack invites Matt to shoot her as a test to see how much she can absorb. The sequence was very weird (as one might expect it to be) and really didn't fit into any of the stories in any meaningful way. Therefore, it is referenced, but never explained or seen.

Stollack's Voice

This is the first story in which Stollack uses her "goddess" voice (I can't think of anything else to call it). It is both gentle and harsh, both loud and soft. It is a paradox, coming from both within and without the hearer. The very elements of the universe, including all within the animal kingdom, obey it when used for good.
